The rules, written plainly

The driver must be at least 21 years old and hold a licence valid in the UAE. Residents present an Emirates ID and UAE licence; visitors present a passport, visa page, home licence and, where required, an International Driving Permit. Additional drivers must be registered on the agreement before they drive.

A refundable deposit of AED 1,500 is taken at handover. It is returned once the vehicle is back with us and any outstanding Salik, Darb, parking, fines or damage have been settled. Traffic fines can take several weeks to appear on the government system, which is why deposits are not released instantly.

Daily, weekly and monthly rentals are quoted as one flat price for the whole period. The figure we confirm before handover is the figure on your agreement. Extending is simply a new agreed price for the added period.

Each rental includes a stated distance allowance shown on your agreement. Additional kilometres are charged at the fixed per-kilometre rate written there, agreed before you take the car.

Vehicles are handed over with a recorded fuel level and should be returned at the same level. Where they are not, the difference is charged at cost plus a small refuelling fee.

Salik and Darb tolls are billed at cost as they are incurred and appear as their own line on your statement. Traffic fines are passed on exactly as issued by the authorities, with the fine number, date and reason shown. We do not add a markup to either.

All vehicles carry comprehensive insurance. In the event of an accident you must call the police and obtain a report before the vehicle is moved; without a police report the insurance cannot respond and the repair becomes chargeable. An insurance excess applies and can be reduced at the time of booking.

Servicing is our responsibility. If your car is due for service, needs a repair, or is off the road for any reason within our control, we will arrange a replacement vehicle from the fleet.

The vehicle may not be used for racing, off-road driving, driving instruction, carrying goods for hire, or be taken outside the UAE without written permission. Smoking in the vehicle incurs a cleaning charge.

Delivery and collection anywhere in Dubai are free. Other emirates are available for a fee agreed in advance.

Tell us as early as you can. Cancellations made before the vehicle is prepared or delivered carry no charge; once a car has been delivered, the first day is chargeable.
